繪英語(yǔ)讀后感篇1
after ten years, j.k.r did not let us down. the darkest, fastest-paced, most desperate and dynamic magical adventure of the 7-part series carries the reader along faster than a speeding broomstick chased by dementors. throughout, doubts must be battled, fears faced, loyalties tested, and grief postponed whilst well-loved characters fall, chapter by chapter, yet there is no time to mourn. rowling as a narrator has grown up and so has harry; this no longer feels like a children's story but an epic myth, the echo and inheritor of a centuries-ancient tale told and sung around firesides, full of sound and fury, signifying more than we like to let on - the tug of old archetypes we already know, old tales which still resonate heart-deep, with anyone who has ever wondered who wins, when you pit love against hate, and hope against nihilism.
i am sure there will be sneerers and jeerers at the power of the commercial spell cast worldwide and the ringing tills at midnight, the over-familiarity of the children's-story syntax; they are missing the point. the story of all humankind is the story of a story-telling animal and it is only this which distinguishes us from the other mammals, when it comes to the end. we will always be enchanted and enslaved by the telling and re-telling of the same story we all, always want to hear, again and again. the ancient magic of light vs. darkness, heroism and struggle, the bloody clash of battles, wrench of secrets painfully revealed; the warrior tested, the torturous night of the soul, the slow learning of the terrible, yet wonderful fact that no-one is alone, and that in the end, help comes, from friends, from strangers, from unexpected sources; from within and without, because of faith, because of courage, because of love. of how our own humanity saves us, how our weakness is our strength.
so this latest incarnation of the old, old tale of the resurrected lost one, the lonely one who is loved, the hero who doubts, the child who is adult, the griever restored, the victim who triumphs, the boy who lived - is deeply satisfying in the way everyone recognises. anyone who has fallen asleep at the end of a story, with the author's pact satisfied - i will let you frighten, anger, worry and scare me, if you make it all right at the end. if i learn something, and if they live, if not happy ever after, but if they live - will be replete at the ending of this long saga.
i prefer to think its enormous sucess is not just because of cyncial hyper-successful marketing. i prefer to think that it is because we all love a story, told well, before we lay down to sleep at the end of a long day.
繪英語(yǔ)讀后感篇2
oliver twist is a very famous novel written by dickens, a famous british writer.
oliver, an orphan, grew up in a poorhouse and has been discriminated against. he escaped to london because he could not bear to be abused. he went into a den of thieves by mistake and was scolded and beaten. i dont know how much he suffered in the process of growing up. although growing up in such an environment, he has a kind heart. no matter how much he suffers, his determination to do bad things is the biggest. he is blessed and will never forget to thank his benefactor. but the people in the bandit group still did not let him go, and his half brother also wanted to kill him. olivers fate is tragic, but he was helped by good people to find out his life experience and obtain the heritage. finally, his fate has been changed and he is expected to become a useful person to the society.
we should also learn from the kind-hearted brownlow, who helped oliver with his helping hand. because of his kindness, oliver twist was saved. he made the world lose a bad man and a good man, and kept oliver away from the dirty world.
in a word, the whole novel is full of twists and turns, which makes people sigh for oliver twists life experience, angry for the mean man, moved by the kind brownlow, and happy for olivers rebirth. since its publication more than 100 years ago, oliver twist has become a classic work loved by readers all over the world, and i am no exception. because of this novel, i also began to know dickens. his novel mainly reflects the bottom life of the british society, which has just passed the poverty relief law.
繪英語(yǔ)讀后感篇3
how can such a little boy who had already suffered oppressive affliction remain pure in body and mind? the reason is the nature of goodness. i think it is the most important information implied in the novel by dickens-he believed that goodness could conquer every difficulty. although i don’t think goodness is omnipotent, yet i do believe that those who are kind-hearted live more happily than those who are evil-minded.
for me, the nature of goodness is one of the most necessary character for a person. goodness is to humans what water is to fish. he who is without goodness is an utterly worthless person. on the contrary, as the famous saying goes, the fragrance always stays in the hand that gives the rose’, he who is with goodness undoubtedly is a happy and useful person. people receiving his help are grateful to him and he also gets gratified from what he has done, and thus he can do good to both the people he has helped and himself.
to my disappointment, nowadays some people seem to doubt the existence of the goodness in humanity. they look down on people’s honesty and kindness, thinking it foolish of people to be warm-hearted. as a result, they show no sympathy to those who are in trouble and seldom offer to help others. on the other hand, they attach importance to money and benefit. in their opinion, money is the only real object while emotions and morality are nihility. if they cannot get profit from showing their ‘kindness’, they draw back when others are faced with trouble and even hit a man when he is down. they are one of the sorts that i really detest.
francis bacon said in his essay, ‘goodness, of all virtues and dignities of the mind, is the greatest, being the character of the deity, and without it, man is a busy, mischievous, wretched thing, no better than a kind of vermin.’

繪英語(yǔ)讀后感篇5
when i first read "gone with the wind," i felt that the author didnt know what to say, but that the story started with a party. then, once again, perhaps growing up, he read the whole storys twists and turns.
throughout, i felt that the favourite character was scarlett, even though she was wild and cruel and greedy, but at the same time she showed her beauty and shrewdness in her. she doesnt like the women of the time, they are less inhibited, and so pedantic, but scarlett is different, she is a lively and unfettered bird, in such a dark social freedom of flying. when she mistakenly gave ashley her elaborate "dress", her love was wrong. when she didnt understand her feelings and consumed rhetts love, she was wrong again. fortunately, scarlett was strong, and when she made two mistakes, she remembered her fathers words: "the earth is the only land that is with tomorrow." she was not confused or hesitant about her feelings. she believed in tomorrow and she could seize love tomorrow. the main character, scarlett, is such a child, but strong and hopeful.
as ashley said, melanie was so weak and timid, and scarlett was so brave. although scarlett failed in love, her life, her efforts, was clearly successful. when ashley left melanie to scarlett, she kept her promise and took good care of melanie, even though she was upset. during the war, it was difficult for everyone to live, and scarlett supported melanie and her family by her own efforts, even though many of them had been cheated by frank. maybe some people thought she was a real sneaky, mean-spirited, but i couldnt agree that scarlett was doing it to save all the people, and she couldnt destroy her fathers family. scarlett tried so hard, she was persistent and brave to protect everyone.
compared with melanie, scarlett was not a good woman, but she was more real and more empathetic. melanie is too perfect, perfect to the impossible, so she can be a good image of the representative, this is the reason i like scarlett, she is a really alive, human being. in melanie, scarlett first emotion only envy and hate, but in the end, melanies generosity to make her understand that she is like and rely on melanie, after all, mei and seven straight silently behind to help her. scarlett had a heart of tolerance, too, and she was tolerant of melanie during the war. it was such a tolerant heart that she protected melanie and made scarlett see herself.
"gone with the wind" is gorgeous, and it shapes scarlett, a man of her own soul and colorful character. let me know her strength, faith, hard work, perseverance, courage and tolerance from scarlett. the full text also added a lot of interest.
繪英語(yǔ)讀后感篇6
after reading this wonderful story, i can feel love, brave, deep friendship and some other good spirits in the people.
the scarecrow wanted some brains, but on the way to the emerald city, he thought out of a way to cross the river. the cowardly lion wanted to be brave, but when they met the river, he carried other friends to jump across it. and the tin man wanted a heart, he said he couldn’t love, but he didn’t want to hurt any animal.
in fact, they all have the things they want: the scarecrow is clever, the cowardly lion is brave and the tin man is kind-hearted.
this book tells us a story of how a little girl dorothy goes back to her hometown when she is in another strange city. dorothy is a little girl who lived with her aunt and uncle in kansas. the weather there is very bad, sometimes there was a cyclone. when a cyclone came, people stayed under their houses. but one day a cyclone blows dorothy’s house, with dorothy and her dog toto in it, to a country called oz. in that city there are four witches and a very famous wizard—the wizard of oz. and dorothy’s house just fell on the bad witch of the east and killed her, so the people there were very happy. dorothy took the witch’s red shoes and wore them. she wanted to go home to kansas but she doesn’t know how to get there. so the witch of north told her to go to the emerald city to find the wizard of oz to help her. then dorothy met the scarecrow, the tin man, and the cowardly lion, but they need help too. the scarecrow wanted some brains, the tin man wanted a heard, and the cowardly lion wanted to be brave. so they all take the yellow brick road to the emerald city. on the way to the emerald city they met some difficulties, but they solved them successfully. after they met the wizard of oz, the wizard gave them another challenge—to kill the bad witch of the west and they accept. during the way to the witch of the west’s house, they were caught by the witch and dorothy was requested to work for her. one day, when the witch tried to catch dorothy’s red shoes, dorothy threw some water on the witch by accident and the witch of the west disappeared. only water can kill her. so dorothy went back to the emerald city with her friends but they found the wizard of oz is not a real wizard, he is also a man came from kansas, and he is just a conjurer. he wanted to go back to kansas too. so he made a big balloon and prepared to go. but when the balloon is going to raise, dorothy’s dog toto jumped away to run after a cat, so dorothy had to get toto back and they were left in oz. then dorothy and toto went and find the witch of the south and the witch told them they can just use the red shoes on dorothy’s feet, they’re a pair of magic shoes, they could take anybody go back to their home as soon as she said‘east, west—home is the best!’after dorothy said goodbye to her friends, she went back to her new home with her dog. it’s really a wonderful risk.
yes, no matter where we are, home is always the best place for us to rest or study. there are our parents here; there are also our favorite things here. at home, we feel safe, we feel comfortable, and we can relax ourselves.
from this story, we can see dorothy is a brave and kind-hearted girl. she killed the two bad witches in oz; she helped the scarecrow, the tin man, and the cowardly lion to go to the emerald city to find the wizard and get what they want. she solved problems when they met difficulties. it’s really not easy for such a little girl.
we also learn that teamwork is important for us. when we are in trouble, we can ask our friends for help, and also, when our friends need help, we should go and help them. just remember, more people, more power. it’s always better has more people to do a thing. teamwork is really necessary in our lives.
and we can see the scarecrow is absolutely cleaver, he understands things, he can think, he learn quickly, and he suggested dorothy to cut down a tree to cross the river. the tin man has a kind heart, he laughs, he cries, he loves, he feels sorry for people. the cowardly lion is really brave, he did a lot of brave things, he carried the friends to go across the river, and he wanted to find some food for his friends and so on. we should learn from them too. when we are in trouble, we should calm down, watch the things around carefully, and try to think out of a way to solve it, just like the scarecrow. we also should be brave as we are in danger, we can’t be afraid, we should face the difficulty and try to go through it, just like the cowardly lion. and we should learn to love people, to feel sorry for people, to make more friends, to get on well with everyone around us, just like the tin man.
yes, we should learn how to get on with other people, we should help each other, we should be brave, we should love other people. if we can do like this, we can be a better girl (boy), more and more people will make friends with us, and more and more people will like us!
