little women,
before i read this book, i had watched a cartoon movie made by japan. so i have a strong interest on it.
it all begins in the dead of winter; the christmas season. the coldest one of all, were the war has made fuel for heating very scarce. while her husband is off at war, marmee is left alone to raise their four daughters: jo, meg, beth, and amy.
on christmas eve, marmee has just arrived home from passing out food to the less fortunate with a letter from her husband, the girls father. the all gather together around the fire to read the letter. afterwards, the girls are teary eyed. marmee kisses them and they are off to bed.
jo is longing to become a writer. so, every night she stays up late writing the script for soap operas. as morning comes she is the last one awake. the table is set, and food prepared for their christmas feast.
as dusk falls, the girls are all up in the attic acting out jos play, which she reads from the local (fake) newspaper. as they are performing, their rich, next-door neighbors grandson watches from the window.
the 2 oldest girls: jo and meg, get ready to attend the christmas ball. while jo is curling megs hair, there is a strange smell to the air. amy screams, megs hair is being singed. they continue digging through the old clothes bin for a pair of white gloves.
one of the prominent themes in little women is the coming of age or maturation of the girls. during the course of the novel we see them grow in many ways -- physically, intellectually, and especially emotionally. one question which readers must ask themselves is whether the views the characters have on the coming of age process are shared by alcott. if they arent, what are alcotts views and how do they differ from those of the women in her story?
it is interesting to examine the last half of chapter 20, "confidential." jo addresses the maturation issue as she speaks with marmee of the situation between meg and mr. brooke. the possible love between these two represents one of the very important aspects in coming of age for a teenage girl. jo treats this natural process as if it were some sort of disease, however. jo cannot understand why meg would want to stop behaving "like a sensible creature" (p.202), and refers to love as "such nonsense."
confidence is often makes people have the courage to live. confidence, courage, ability, have experience, you can succeed. 28 years, a surprising number, a magical number! while he was in the sea, lubin sun, the wild life drift teus.vanguard! why he can take all these dangerous, through a variety of difficulties, hard to survive? i gradually with their doubts into the book…
life is compared to a bumpy road, you may not have difficulty, no setbacks. anyway, we all want to have confidence, courage, have the courage to traverse the steps. indeed, we need truly, don't always optimistic to see the world in the dark side, must see the bright future of the day. the navigator of mythology, with a man's wisdom and confidence to fill, optimistic, he created such miracles.
recently read a foreign translation of classics, "little women", often by the author that humorous and lively simple words moved by impregnation, sometimes strongly hope not delay the breath read it; sometimes can't help to slow down to careful aftertaste its classic discourse; even my mind will appear in the book of the picture, the mood ups and downs with the plot ups and downs.
open the cover page of the book, the author of the translation press said it was all girls must read good books. is curiosity, attracted me to read on it is the introduction, the above said by a little girl's experience to us a person what happiness, how to meet the truth.
in this materialistic flying so-called height of the development of the network world, people often ask what is happiness blankly, i also will feel perplexed in the face of such problems. what causes such a dull numbness of the world? and who can be responsible for the "materialistic" situation?
wish all the girls read this book. happiness is in jail, we hand out trick; happiness is when the storm of thunder lightning outside, we can stay warm hut; happiness is another when a child is with parents who are severe control, glad that you have a pair of amiable honorable mom and dad. happiness is when people have money but also ignominy, you i'm glad you have good character.
is really full paper absurd speech! i wish every one of us can cherish the hands have treasure! hope we would be happy!

sons and lovers was d.h. lawrence's first major novel. his only major novel, some would say; but even readers who are out of sympathy with him, or who feel that his gifts were not really those of a novelist, have usually been happy to make a wholehearted exception in this one case.
it is a book that goes straight to the point, at the outset and at almost every subsequent stage. between them his two methods leave us in no doubt where the heart of his story is to be located.
gertrude morel is a woman of high principle, of character and refinement. her husband is a miner who can barely read and write. marrying him for passion, she is bitterly disappointed by his rough manners, his drinking, what she can only see as his weakness and irresponsibility. when the book opens, the marriage has already turned into a battlefield, and the love she has withdrawn from morel is being redirected toward the first of her children. in the previous chapters, gertrude morel is most devoted to her eldest son william. but after he dies of a skin disease, she plunges into grief. seeing william is gone, she rededicates her life to paul, and this revives her. she teaches her son art, education, and social advancement. she lives for her sons and will do anything to see them make their way in the world.
mrs. morel is terribly tired of her involvement in paul and miriam's relationship and decides to stop intervening. she knows that paul is an adult now and that there is nothing she can do to stop paul from seeing miriam. she feels that she can never forgive her son for sacrificing himself to love miriam. as it mentions above, paul has begun to realize how much his mother affects his life. her deep love for him has made her a part of himself that when he wants to break free from his mother, he is unable to get away from her. his mother is ingrained into his very soul.
that’s to say, his mother influences paul very much, and which proves to be for worse to him. when paul finds girlfriend, he always find the girl who takes after his mother, not only the out look but also in mental. but in fact he could not find such girl. so it lead to that he never willing to be bound to miriam in marriage or to clara in physical love. at last paul has begun to realize how much his mother affects his life. her deep love for him has made her a part of himself that when he wants to break free from his mother, he is unable to get away from her. his mother is ingrained into his very soul.
to sum up, paul’s mother has some bad influence on him and to a large extent changes his life.
the book wuthering heights told us a story about love and revenge: the abandoned boy heathdiff was adopted by mr eamshaw and lived with mr earnshaws son hindley and daughter cathiner. hindley disliked heathdiff. he insulted and maltreated heathdiff in every possible way after mr earnshaws death. at the same time, peculiar emotion occurred between cathiners and heathdiff. because of vanity and ignorance, cathiner decided to mary linton. heathdiff left with anger. three years later, heathdiff returned to revenge. he succeeded in annexing all the property of hindleys and the lintons. however, cathiners ghost pestered him all the time, and he died in mental disorder.
to understand wuthering heights, you must know the auther amily well. she had been abnormal in inentality ever since her childhood. her sister charlotte had once said that amily was even ber than a man in character, and more simple than a child. he name heathdiff was compounded by the words heath and cliff, itself gave the readers a feeling of unfeelingness, which well annotated amilys abnormal mentality.
abnormal mentality did good for inducing and enriching the imagination of the auther in some way. sometimes, amilys imagination was beyond human nature but urueasenable. that was why she could with the thrilling scene in mr lockwoods dream, the behainour of cathiner when she fell ill, and the words full of b enthusiasm but unimaginable like. they were locked in an embrace from which i thought my mistress would never be released alive.
amilys abnormal quality decided the thinking way during her creating, but her work was far from abnormal. withering heights is a healthy and harmonious work.love-hetred-ievenge-the ievival of huanan natme, that is the clue of the story cathiner and heathdiff weie a coupla of iebels against the trandition the tragedy happened all because cathiner didit iesist thoughout and betraged heathcliff at the key moment she ruined herself, heathdiff and nearty the next generation the author portraged cathiner ivth a complicated mood she sympathized with her while being angry with her and she feet sony for her while spurring to her.
the most vivid character in the story was iepresented by hindley and he could bear he was tormented by love catheters contempt and laughing at him that was what he couldnt bear that the heavy pies sure split his soul explained his cruel and crazyieuenge.the writing of the novel gave preference to mysterious phenomenon and horrible atmosphere one of the most important fealties was the complexity of the narration structure it broke away from conventions and began from the middle this method of narration was for more attractive.
among all the characters like the housekeeper allen most she was never afraid of them she always said and did what she wanted to the most important point is that she was kind hearted and justice.a good book is worthy leading for many tines withering heights is not easy to understand but once you understand it you wild wander at the talent of the author.
as the saying goes, " famous for his bravery"。 known from wuthering heights, the plot twists and turns, and there is a gust of wind. the protagonist heathcliff 's childhood is so sweet, although it is an orphan, but also won the lao zhuang lord doubly love. but the past is different today, before that is ignorant and naive children, now is full of hate seeds of adults. fate is unfair to him, the owner 's son often abused him as a wild child in the hours, but then carrie comfort, willing to play with him. but then she pursued " money love"。 let the boy who had complained become resentful here. want to embrace the desire of recovery, until harry tons, let him not learn no skill.
don 't sow even hatred. learn to be a man who can endure and be steadfast.
at home, i write homework as soon as i get home every day, i think homework is a part of fixed knowledge. but homework in writing is not necessarily smooth, sometimes the storm on the surface of the sea and the impact of the waves are inevitable, not timid, also not recklessly, to learn to use clever way through, rather than want to also don 't want to pull the alarm, looking for help, that 's not wisdom, but weak.
at school, the students are very fond of tug of war, this is a game of strength and perseverance. in the process, may be oneself too insist, and palms become scarred. sometimes not out of weakness also for reducing their own damage.
people want to learn to give up, give up their own burden is not lighter? patience, patience will succeed, don 't blindly want to revenge, so unlucky is yourself; people should learn to be steadfast, not like a ghost, but to walk forward on the ground, to the light. counsel, is always a cloud, the mind to real, will accumulate some other people 's attention for yourself.
